Registration opens at 8 AM
Shoot starts at 10:00 AM
Lewis Class will apply:
- Classes contingent on shooter participation.
- Prizes will be awarded to 3 places in all classes.
- 101 shooters or more (A, B, C, D & E)
- 76 – 100 shooters (A, B, C & D)
- 51 – 75 shooters (A, B & C)
- 26 – 50 shooter (A & B)
- Under 26 shooters (A)
- Prizes to be awarded:
- 1st $ 200
- 2nd $ 150
- 3rd $ 100
* All scoring will be done on individual shooter.
Individual Entry Information:
- $75 per shooter if paid before May 19, 2012 (day of the shoot)
- $100 per shooter if paid on May 19, 2012 (day of the shoot)
Lunch will be provided for all shooters. Additional lunches for non-shooters and spectators will be provided for $5 each.
Golf carts will be available for rent at the shoot:
- Golf carts are first come first served.
- Golf carts seat 2 people.
- Golf cart rental is $25.00 for the full day of shooting.
- The golf cart tent will be located near the registration area.
An Afternoon of Sporting Clays Shooting With Dave Butz
We are pleased to announce that Dave Butz will be our guest again this year at the Shrine Sporting Clays 5th Annual Fund Raiser Shooting Event on May 19, 2012. Dave is a very strong supporter of the Shrine Sporting Clays for Kids program.
Dave has asked that we schedule an extra shooting for him. The object of this offer is to raise further funds for the Hospital. Shooters can join Dave for the extra afternoon shoot with a donation of $100.00 per shooter for the Shriners Hospital for Children. All shooters participating in this extra shoot will have their photos taken with Dave. Once the photos are printed we will send them to Dave for his autograph, then we will mail them to the shooters (the photos will be suitable for framing).
PLEASE UNDERSTAND: This will be over and above the scheduled shoot.
Dave Butz is a certified NRA Shot Gun Coach and has instructed hundreds of people with Great Success. As an NRA Certified Shooting Coach, Dave offers his students the latest in coaching philosophy and presentation methodology along with the most up-to-date techniques and competition tactics. ==> After the 2011 shoot Dave Butz stayed at the Meadows and joined with several groups of shooters to give them pointers on improving their shooting techniques.

David Butz
David Roy Butz (born June 23, 1950 in Lafayette, Alabama) is a former American Football defensive lineman in the National Football League for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Redskins in a sixteen year career from 1973 to 1988.
Butz was drafted in the first round (fifth overall) of the 1973 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals, where he would play for two seasons. He then played for the Washington Redskins for 14 years, where he had three Super Bowl appearances. He was a one time Pro Bowler in 1983 in a season in which he got eleven sacks, a career best. He only missed four games in his entire 16-year career.[1] Butz was among the largest players in the NFL when he played standing 6’8″ and routinely weighing around 320 pounds. When he retired, he was the oldest starting player in the NFL.[3]
Butz was selected to the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team and was named one of the 70 Greatest Redskins.
