Matt Eastman

Shrine Sporting Clays is extremely proud to have Matt Eastman of the Eastman Gun Shows supporting the Shrine Hospitals. Matt from day one of the start up of Shrine Sporting Clays for kids has been a staunch supporter; Matt has allowed Shriners to collect at all of his gun shows here in Georgia. Yaarab Shrine, Al Sihah and Alee Shriners have been most welcome to his guns shows which have generated over $50,000 in donations to our cause.

At almost every Gun Show Matt never fails to ask about how we are doing and expresses his delight at having Shriners at the shows. He is always concerned as to the amount being collected for our Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Eastman Gun Shows have been a operating since 1985 and have grown into the major Gun Show being staged in Georgia. Eastman Gun Shows has a loyal following of dealers that display their products at almost every gun show. Eastman Gun Shows are staged in Atlanta, Dalton, Rome, Gainesville, Macon, and Savannah, Georgia.

Matt is a staunch supporter of the National Rifle Association as well as being known for his extensive collection of weapons. Mr. Eastman is also recognized for his extensive knowledge of Winchester firearms. Matt Eastman has authored and published several books on Winchester firearms. To top all of this, Matt is a proud Grandfather, and of his son-in-law who is also a major firearms dealer here in Georgia.

Partnership to Provide Specialized Services to Eligible Members at No Charge

Monday, February 18, 2008

ATLANTA – Today Governor Sonny Perdue joined with Dr. Rhonda Medows, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH), and representatives from Shriners Hospitals for Children to sign an agreement establishing a partnership that will provide pediatric specialty services for PeachCare for Kids™ members at no charge. This partnership will provide for the treatment of an estimated 500 children at Shriners Hospitals, whose health care costs would otherwise be covered through PeachCare.

“This kind of innovative solution will be a model for other states as they seek to partner with private groups to address health care needs,” said Governor Sonny Perdue. “We are grateful to Shriners Hospitals for their generosity and their willingness to partner with us as we seek to provide the highest quality health care possible for Georgia’s children.”
